About This Collection
Pure Tissue Silk Sarees — The Fabric Everyone Is Talking About
There's a reason Tissue Silk has quietly become one of the most asked-for fabrics in festive wardrobes this year. It catches light the way no other silk does — a soft metallic shimmer woven into delicate silk threads, giving the saree a luminous, almost ethereal quality. It drapes featherlight, photographs beautifully under both daylight and evening lights, and somehow manages to feel grand without feeling heavy. At Rang Rajasthani, our Pure Tissue Silk collection is a curated selection of market-tested pieces — chosen carefully to honor the fabric's elegance and stay true to our broader theme of Rajasthani heritage styling.
Why Tissue Silk Works for Modern Festive Wardrobes
The appeal of Tissue Silk is in its quiet luxury. Where heavier silks like Pure Gajji or Pure Russian announce themselves the moment you enter a room, Tissue Silk does something more refined — it glows softly, moves with you, and lets the craft work on top take center stage. The fabric is woven with ultra-fine silk threads interlaced with metallic zari, creating its signature shimmer-on-fabric look. It's comfortable for long evening events, day-to-night versatile, and one of the easiest silks to drape. Our collection sticks to a contemporary palette — soft creams, beiges, peaches, pinks, grays, peridot greens, teals, and lavenders — colors that photograph beautifully and pair well with modern jewelry.
The Crafts on Our Tissue Silk Edit
Tissue Silk is a delicate canvas, and the craft work on it has to honor that. Most pieces in our collection carry Zari Embroidery — fine metallic thread embroidery in floral, geometric, and motif-based patterns, often along the borders and pallu. Select premium pieces feature Gota Patti Hand Work — traditional Rajasthani gota strips applied by hand for a richer, more ceremonial finish. Our most special pieces layer Hand Embellishment and Zardozi Work — bead, stone, and metallic thread embroidery for wedding-grade pieces. Each work choice is matched to the saree's intended occasion: lighter Zari Embroidery for festive evenings and wedding guest dressing, heavier Gota Patti and Zardozi for reception-grade pieces.
Styling Tissue Silk With Aangi Blouses — Coming Soon to Our Edit
Here's where our Tissue Silk collection becomes something more than just a fabric edit. Traditionally, Aangi is a component of the Rajputi Poshak — the heritage Rajasthani ensemble worn with Ghagra and Odhni. The Aangi is a fitted, richly embellished bodice. In recent fashion, Aangi blouses paired with sarees have emerged as one of the most striking fusion styling movements out of Rajasthan — bringing Rajputi grandeur into modern saree dressing. We're currently photographing our exclusive Aangi blouse collection — crafted on Pure Russian Silk and Pure Upada Silk bases, with intricate Gota Patti and Kacche Gota hand work — designed to pair with the Tissue Silk sarees in this collection. Tissue Silk and Aangi blouses are kaju aur kishmish ka combination — the lightweight luminous saree balanced perfectly by the structured embellished bodice. Watch this space.
